JILLIAN WARMAN, FOUNDER/INSTRUCTOR
"I believe music and language can change your life and equip you to change the world."

Welcome to JW Lessons, LLC! Let me personally introduce myself. My name is Jillian Warman and I am the founder and sole instructor here at JW Lessons, LLC. I created my online school because music and language have always been staples in my life and I want to share all that I’ve learned with you!
So, a little about me… If I could describe myself in one word, I’d say passionate. My passion for music and language has not only shaped my life, but it also led me to found JW Lessons, LLC and share my knowledge and experience with anyone who loves to learn.
Let’s talk about music, shall we? I am a classically trained multi-instrumentalist, having begun my music journey at the age of 5. Through the years, my love for music would catapult me into a career as a professional musician and vocalist. I have had the privilege of playing music with professional symphonies, Grammy award winning artists and musicians, numerous church worship teams, and so much more. But I was never satisfied with only the performance side of things. I’ve always considered music a gift to be shared, so that’s why I began teaching and, 10 years in, I’ve never looked back! In addition to teaching privately, I have taught individual classes and string ensembles at a university and have worked as a music industry vocal coach. I may be bias, but I truly believe teaching is one of the greatest jobs in the world! My teaching style is creative, challenging, encouraging, fun, and innovative. I do NOT believe in a "one size fits all" approach and care deeply about helping my students become the musicians they desire to be. I’ve trained students in classical music, musical theatre, worship, jazz, pop, country, and more. My goal is to help students become the very best they can be, both as musicians and as humans, and to find joy in the journey.
Alright, it’s time to talk about language… I’m just going to get this out of the way from the beginning: I am a self-proclaimed grammar nerd—not the grammar police, but just someone who adores the “behind the scenes” of language. It’s no surprise that my obsession with language followed me to college! Thanks to a lot of hard work and some of the best professors on the planet, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Regent University (go Royals!) with a B.A. in English and Communications and a brain brimming with even more passion for language than before. This passion has led me to become a published author, songwriter, and English/ESL instructor. As an ESL instructor, I've had the privilege of teaching students from all over the world, helping them to not only become stronger English speakers, but also become more confident in their personal and professional lives. Since my brain is never satisfied (did I mention I’m passionate?!), I am also studying Japanese because I am part Japanese and have always wanted to learn the language of my ancestors. It’s very challenging, but I’m loving every minute of it!
In addition to teaching, I have been leading worship since I was 15 and currently lead worship in Austin and San Antonio. I’ve also worked as a freelance musician for many years and enjoy providing music for a wide variety of events!
I’m so glad you found your way to my website. Feel free to stay awhile, and if you have any lesson inquiries, please send them to jwlessons5@gmail.com.
